Michelle V. Agudo, M.S.

Be here now. The three words that changed my life and brought me deeper into the mindful path of yoga and meditation. Living in the present moment. Being fully consumed in it. I’ve always had an urge within me to help others, going with this feeling, I have been able to do so with love and compassion in my heart.

Working in behavioral health, public health, and psychology research, as well as my master’s degree studies in psychology, brought to my attention the importance of human interaction, kindness, and empathy. A smile and an honest conversation can change an individual’s world. Seeing the true light within my research participants made me realize I need to go beyond this field, look inside, and then go out to truly serve others.

My yoga practice began about 10 years ago, for the past 9 years, it has become consistent and heart opening. Being certified in a Ashtanga-Vinyasa 200 HR YTT with Urban Bliss Yoga (registered with Yoga Alliance), and 8 years of teaching experience, has allowed me to expand my practice. Also, being certified in Yin Yoga and Qigong has paved a path to incorporate the benefits of slowing down as I guide a flow. I’ve completed various workshops, with Bryan Kest creator of Power Yoga and Kosta Miachin creator of Vikasa Yoga. Cultivated a Hatha practice through the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in the Bahamas.

Learning how to breathe through difficult moments, showed me the true meaning of yoga and meditation. Being able to overcome obstacles with the breath, helped me become stronger. Physically and emotionally. Relating asanas to situations of life, gave me the courage to see that nothing is impossible.
